We are currently working with the Johnson City Alternative High School to care for an existing garden and small orchard. We’d love to work with more schools in the area! Contact us with your ideas.
Community Gardens are spaces where people who do not own land for gardening can grow their own food. We’ve supported several gardens in our region and have established a 25 bed garden in Erwin, TN.
Our workshops are fun and informative! Over the years, we’ve done them on organic gardening, canning, pickling, raising chickens, saving seeds and so much more.
Food Forests, also known as Community Edible Parks, are neighborhood areas where we’ve planted a variety of perennial edible plants. In 3-5 years, these trees and shrubs will produce an abundance of healthy food with only minimal labor from us.
Applications are now closed and being reviewed. To learn more about the program and any upcoming public workshops, please check out the Market Gardens page.
