Gardener Story: Brandi Eveland-Sayers

Hi BIU friends. This is my first year as a participant in this amazing program. My kids and I are enjoying the quick changes happening in the garden. Tomatoes are the most exciting right now as we like to pick a few Sun Golds each time we pass the garden.
We decided on raised bed gardens and filled them with love from Hoffman composting. In addition to tomatoes, so far we’ve enjoyed kale, broccoli, cabbage, collards, beets, arugula, mustard greens, onions, and lots of herbs. I spent time over the weekend removing the kale and collard plants. Time for new planting soon 🙂.
I can’t wait to see the variety of fall plants and keep learning the tricks of the trade. Thanks for sharing such wonderful information each week. I look forward to the pictures and find myself smiling at the joy everyone seems to be having.
Until next time.
